• Child Care Subsidy - Monitor enrollment in the subsidy program and, using data supplied by the program management, make recommendations regarding the household income cap and subsidy guidelines.
  Action: Convene Committee to consider changes and make recommendations to ORS Director.
• Child and Dependent Care Back-up Care Pilot - Support the implementation of the Back-UP Care Pilot and participate in the evaluation of this new program.
  Action: Board participation on evaluation panel for contract award.
• NCI Move to the New Shady Grove Campus in 2013 - Support the administration and employees of NCI in identifying appropriate resources for child care and other family supports.
  Action: Meet with NCI Admin Staff.
• Strategic Planning and Marketing Programs and Services to the NIH Community - Plan for ongoing distribution of current information to the people who need to know and will disseminate to all IC’s.
  Action: Expand role of Communications Committee to include Strategic Planning.
• Workforce Planning Issues – Explore data and research to document the importance of child care as a critical need for workforce planning. Also, retention issues, other family issues besides child care.
  Action: New Committee.

Ongoing Activities:

• Northwest Child Care Center - Continue to monitor the progress of this project.
• Special Events and Outreach - Support, by participation and co-sponsorship, in seminars, outreach events, all NIH events and opportunities to engage other interested groups at NIH.
• Waiting List - Monitor and recommend enhancements.
• Amenities at NIH - How are decision made about programs and services at off-campus locations?
