General Radiation Safety for Clinical Center Employees

Radioactive material and radiation emitting devices such as x-ray machines are used in the NIH Clinical Center  for biomedical research in the treatment of patients. As an employee of the NIH Clinical Center, you may come into contact with radiation emitting devices and radioactive material during your daily routine.

This training module is designed to familiarize you with may be used in the various areas and to address specific precautions to minimize exposure to these sources of radiation.

Please note that this module is for information purposes only and is not a substitute for the standardized training courses offered through the NIH Division of Radiation Safety Training Office.
