Center Drive/Old Georgetown Road Switches to Inbound Traffic Only on January 26

On January 26, Phase II of the ongoing construction replacing vehicle barriers at Center Drive and Old Georgetown Road commences. In this final phase, set to finish on February 22, only inbound traffic will be allowed. To offset the traffic impact, the campus entrance/exit at South Drive/Old Georgetown Road will continue to have expanded hours of operation in both directions. After February 22, Center Drive (and South Drive) should return to normal hours of operation.

Phase 2: 1/26/19 – 2/22/19

  • Inbound traffic only (5am – 9pm, Monday – Friday; Closed on weekends); No outbound traffic.
  • South Drive/Old Georgetown Road Expanded Hours: inbound and outbound – weekdays, 5am – 9pm; weekends/holidays 6am – 4pm.
  • Normal pedestrian access resumes at Center Drive.

A chain link fence encloses the construction site. Signage on nearby roadways are posted alerting commuters of this construction. Signage and cones will direct traffic entering Center Drive during construction.

While Center Drive is under construction, motorists are encouraged to consider using either of the two other entrances to campus located along Old Georgetown Road including South Drive and Lincoln Drive.
