Foil the Flu - High Dose Vaccine Currently Unavailable
Foil the Flu, the annual seasonal influenza immunization program for NIH employees and contractors is now underway. Unfortunately, due to the limited supply nationwide, the high dose vaccine -- intended for employees 65 years and older – is currently unavailable. Further communication to staff will follow once the NIH receives more vaccine.
All employees and contractors with a valid NIH identification badge, not receiving the high dose vaccine, are encouraged to be immunized against the flu. The best way to reduce the risk of getting the flu is to get the flu shot every year. All staff who have patient contact, including both employees and contractors, are required to get immunized each year.
