Do you need assistance paying for licensed child care? Are you a Title 5 (General Schedule or Wage Grade) or Title 42 NIH federal employee? Have you filed your 2015 taxes yet? Check to see if you qualify for the NIH Child Care Subsidy Program! The NIH Child Care Subsidy Program was created to make licensed child care more affordable for NIH federal employees. Currently, 67 percent of subsidy recipients are NIH employees at GS levels 9 or below, and 33 percent of subsidy recipients are at GS levels 10 or higher. Employees across the NIH are enrolled. Find out today if you are eligible to save money on child care tuition. Households making less than $75,000 may qualify for a subsidy up to $5,000 per year (look on your 2015 IRS Form 1040, line 37, to find your Total Adjusted Household Income). Your child or children must be enrolled with a licensed child care provider. If you are an NIH federal employee and think you may qualify, please visit http://www.ors.od.nih.gov/pes/dats/childcare/Pages/cc_subsidy.aspx to learn about eligibility and enrollment requirements.
