NIH Federal Credit Union Changes at Rockledge
The NIH Federal Credit Union (NIHFCU) will be closing its branch located in Rockledge II (6701 Rockledge Dr) on Friday, September 14, 2018. The branch closure is necessary for renovation efforts to be completed for the off-campus lease consolidation occurring at the Rockledge site through 2020. Unfortunately, as a result of the consolidation, there will be insufficient space to support an NIHFCU branch at the end of the renovations.
During this renovation, the newly placed, permanent ATM across the street in the lobby of 6700B Rockledge Drive will be available for withdrawals, and for NIHFCU members, deposits. Once the renovation is completed at Rockledge II, a new full-service ATM will be reinstalled in the lobby. In 2019, this ATM, along with NIHFCU self-service ATMs across their system, will begin using the latest video banking and remote transaction processing technology to handle more complex transactions. These changes will give members the choice of self-service or connecting with a remote teller in a highly personalized, two-way audio/video interaction.
Should you require in-branch services, please visit their closest branch to this area - 5601 Fishers Lane (NIAID's building) – or stop by one of their two NIH main campus branches (Buildings 10 and 31). Additionally, you may visit
https://www.nihfcu.org for a complete listing of other branch locations, as well as a full range of online and mobile banking options for your transaction convenience.
We understand the inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your patience during this period of transition at Rockledge.
