34th Annual NIH Institute Challenge Relay.
Thursday, September 28.
11:30 AM Start Time.
NIH Bethesda Campus – Parking Lot 10-H, Building 10.
On Your Mark, Get Set...Go! It's time for the 34th NIH Institute Challenge Relay. The NIH Recreation and Welfare Association (R&W), members of the original NIH Health Angels, and the Division of Amenities and Transportation Services (DATS), Office of Research Services (ORS), are excited to invite you to this year's relay on September 28. No one was faster last year than "Charm City NeuRUNS," who finished with the fastest time in over a decade!  Does your team have what it takes to unseat them?
Gather your friends and colleagues to form your relay team. All NIH staff, including contractors, fellows, etc., are invited to enter as many teams as they wish. The rules are the same as in previous years, but the route has changed. Each team will include five runners, who each will run a half-mile route around Parking Lot 10H by Building 10. Each team must include men and women with at least two runners of the same sex (i.e., you can have a team of two women/three men or three women/two men). Each team must have a name.  Fun examples from last year include: "Champ Ions", "Chlor-Ride Like the Wind", "Dashing Dendrites" and "The Hyper Tensions."
