​Road Paving Planned for Southwest Portion of Campus Over Next Two Weeks

Beginning, Monday, August 27 and finishing on Wednesday, September 4, three areas of the southwest corner of campus will be freshly paved at various intervals to include Medlars Drive, Service Road West, and a portion of the Building 11 parking lot.

Only one lane of traffic will be closed during paving, with flag persons present to direct and allow for two-way traffic. The NIH shuttle buses will continue to service all stops in Lot 41, but will enter from the entrance near Building 38A and MLP-7. 

The three areas of paving, with associated times and dates are as follows: 

Area 1.
Medlars Drive, between Building 41 and the new Industrial Water Storage System (IWSS).
Monday, August 27, 12 noon to 3pm.
Tuesday, August 28, 6am to 3pm.
* Parking lot adjacent to Building 41 to remain open.

Area 2.
Service Road West, from Medlars Drive to Building 11.
Tuesday, August 28 – Friday, August 31, 6am - 5pm.
Tuesday, September 4, 6am - 5pm.

Area 3.
Portion of west parking lot next to Building 11.
Tuesday, September 4 – Wednesday, September 5, 6am - 5pm.
