Contract Employees Eligible to Receive Influenza Vaccination
Keeping the Federal workforce healthy is a top priority for the President and the Department of Health and Human Services. All employees are encouraged to be vaccinated against the flu.
To further protect our NIH workforce, all contractor staff with a valid NIH identification badge will be eligible to receive the flu vaccine, free of charge, while supplies last. The vaccine is designed to prevent both seasonal and pandemic H1N1 flu infection.
To view the vaccination schedule including off-campus locations and dates, for further information about prevention, and answers to commonly asked questions, please visit: https://www.ors.od.nih.gov/flu/Pages/default.aspx.
- NIH Photo ID must be presented in order to start the vaccination process.
- Please wear clothing that will let you quickly expose your upper arm. Changing areas will not be available.
- Flu vaccine is mandatory for all NIH employees and contractors who have contact with Clinical Center patients. Declinations must be in person at the vaccination clinic or Occupational Medical Service (10/6C306).
If, after checking the Foil the Flu website, you still have questions, please contact Occupational Medical Service at 301-496-4411 or the Hospital Epidemiology Service at 301-496-2209.
