Corporal Kweku Pesseh began his federal government service as a police officer with the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA). Upon completing five years of service with the PFPA, Corporal Pesseh continued his law enforcement career by transferring to the NIH Division of Police (DP) Police Operations Branch. He is a long standing memeber of the Special Response Team (SRT). Corporal Pesseh demonstrated his adeptness in mastering high level law enforcement skill sets by overcoming the required arduous tasks during SRT training and has become a great asset to the team. He also serves as a Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) certified firearms instructor. He regularly volunteers for special details such as assisting the US Park Police at the annual 4th of July national event, as well as at other special events as they occur.

Corporal Pesseh has attended community relations improvement meetings at the Children's Inn as a community policing officer. He also assists with field training for new officers and the Field Training Officer Program. Corporal Pesseh's passionate, dedicated performance and commitment to excellence makes him a police officer's police officer and DP Officer of the Year for 2016.
