Resetting Your Smart Card PIN
When and Where to Reset Your PIN
If you’ve forgotten your PIN, you will need to reset it. Visit your local Lifecycle Work Station operator or stop by one of DPSAC's Badge Issuance Stations where an Access Control specialist can help you reset your HHS ID Badge smart card PIN. Badging locations for NIH staff working at remote locations (Rocky Mountain Laboratories, MT; NIAID-Research Triangle Park, NC; NCI-Fort Detrick, Frederick, MD; Biomedical Research Center, Baltimore, MD) are posted at: http://www.ors.od.nih.gov/ser/dpsac/resources/Pages/satellite.aspx.
Lifecycle Work Stations Available Through Your I/C
Most Institutes and Centers have purchased one or more Lifecycle Work Stations (LWS) that enable their personnel to conveniently update their HHS ID Badge (Smart Card) Digital Certificates and reset their Smart Card PINs "on site" rather than make a trip to one of DPSAC’s Badge Issuance stations on the NIH campus.
