Our Mission

It is the mission of the NIH Division of Police to protect our country's national treasure: Scientific Research and the NIH research community, and further to ensure that the mission of NIH is not impeded by personal attacks, loss of assets, criminal activity, or acts of terrorism.

  • Responsible for the overall management of NIH Police Branches and operations
  • Administer police directives, policies, and procedures to meet applicable laws and regulations
  • Validates that organizational objectives and standards are met 
  • Govern memorandums, contracts, and agreements
  • Oversees budget and procurement
