The 3-on-3 basketball tournament was part of a month long wellness event sponsored by The NIH Office of the Director and AIDS Research. In partnership with The Division of Amenities and Transportation Services, the two day 3-on-3 basketball tournament was held to support healthy activities in the spring time.
An annual charity run held at the NIH Campus, the Health Angels Halo Chase consists of a 5k run and 1 mile walk. NIH Record Article

Over 400 employees attended the Expo and were able to visit over 30 wellness stations to receive information on how to begin or continue a healthier lifestyle, and also participate in free health screenings and fitness assessments and classes. Other activities included presentations from expert speakers on various Health and Wellness activities and initiatives.
An annual physical activity day sponsored by the NIH R&W Fitness Program and the Office of Research Services, DATS, Get Beach Ready Day consists of a volleyball competition and free outdoor group exercise classes.
One of the largest wellness events at NIH, Take a Hike Day is an annual opportunity for NIH employees to engage in outdoor physical activity with their colleagues by taking a leisurely stroll or jog around the perimeter of the NIH campus, spanning a total distance of 2.8 miles. To support the official launch of the “Feds Get Fit” campaign, the NIH sponsored a 5K run/walk around the perimeter of the NIH campus. The "Feds Get Fit" campaign is a nationwide campaign for Federal employees to promote the President's HealthierUS initiative for a healthier America. The "Four Pillars," or key elements, for a healthy lifestyle include Physical Activity, Nutrition, Preventive Screenings and Healthy Choices.
This annual event first held in 1978, consists of co-ed teams of five runners each running a half-mile loop around Building 1 on the NIH campus. The winning team has their names engraved on the Allen Lewis NIH Memorial Trophy, located at the Bldg. 31 Fitness Center. NIH Record Article
Participants showed off their skill at volleyball, their strength at Tug of War and joined various group exercise classes such as Pilates, core conditioning, indoor group cycling, stretching, move n' groove, boxing conditioning and body challenge. NIH Record Article
