Services Office has immediately suspended auditing of transit
A special temporary NIH parking permit has
been established to accommodate Transhare participants. This permit is
valid through February 28, 2021, in General Parking areas only. To print a
temporary permit, click on “COVID-19 Special Permit for Transhare.” Place
this permit on the dashboard on the driver’s side of your vehicle. This
permit will not be counted towards the Transhare member’s quarterly
Transit Subsidy Maximum has been increased!
Effective January 1, 2020, the NIH Transhare Program maximum benefit level has been increased from $265 to $270! Commuting costs will be verified by the WMATA Trip Planner and past use of NIH subsidies.

The Division of Amenities and Transportation Services supports many commuter programs to NIH employees to reduce their dependence on single-occupant automobile commuting. This web site provides helpful information about the NIH Transhare Program and assists NIH employees with receiving a mass transit benefit for their daily commute.
